Outlook 365 App Penn State How To Use Email

Although you probably know how to use email and calendars in other systems, this learning path is designed to teach you how to do it in Office 365.

Alternatively, you can also access your email and calendar through the browser-based Outlook on the Web.

In this module, get acquainted with the version of Outlook you prefer.

Although you may already know how to handle email in other systems, this module explains how to do it in Outlook.

Learn how to add your contacts, write emails with attachments and signatures, reply to or forward emails, and set up automatic out-of-office replies.

This module provides instructions on how to add or modify appointments to your own calendar and schedule or modify meetings with others.

You can also explore how to accept and decline meeting invitations, share your calendar, and view calendars of others.

An appointment is different than a meeting because it is only shown on your calendar and does not include others.

A meeting is different than an appointment because it includes other people and is visible on everyones calendar.

In this module, build on your knowledge of email and calendaring and learn how to use Tasks to keep track of what you need to accomplish.

See Module 3 for the steps to share your calendar, then use the resources below to change that persons permission level to editor.

However, if you need someone to respond to meeting invitations for you, and or read and respond to emails in your inbox in addition to scheduling meetings on your calendar, then you will need to assign a delegate to your account.

If you have been given delegate access, you can respond to meeting invitations and write emails on behalf of the person who gave you those permissions.
